What are the Facebook Reels video requirements?

Facebook Reels length
A Facebook Reel must be 3 to 90 seconds long. Meta's error message repeats the same bound: "Reels duration must be between 3 and 90 seconds."
Postdom checks both ends before handing a video to Meta. A 2-second or 91-second file is refused up front, so it never fails after posting.
A reel shared as a story on a Facebook Page is a different object with its own ceiling: "A reel published as a story on a Facebook Page can not exceed 60 seconds."
Facebook Reels aspect ratio
9:16 is the recommended shape, not the only one. Meta's error table states what it rejects: "Aspect ratios for videos need to be between 16x9 and 9x16." A square Reel sits inside that range.
The recommended frame is 1080 x 1920 pixels, and the minimum is 540 x 960. Meta recommends 24 to 60 frames per second. Postdom records these figures but does not refuse a file over them.
A reel published as a story is a different object
The same Reels page also says: “A reel published as a story on a Facebook Page can not exceed 60 seconds.” That 60-second ceiling is a reel published as a story on a Facebook Page. It is not the Reels bound, and it is not Facebook Stories in general.
Pages, not a personal profile
Meta’s limitations, quoted: “You can only publish Reels to Facebook Pages” Postdom publishes to Facebook Reels on a connected Page.
Aspect ratio is a range, not only 9:16
The specification table lists “9 x 16” as the target. Error 1363040 states what Meta rejects: “Aspect ratios for videos need to be between 16x9 and 9x16.” A square Reel sits inside that range. Reading the table target as the only legal ratio invents a rejection Meta’s error table does not write.
